1983 - Rockport launches their DresSports.
This was the first-ever classic dress shoe that comprised athletic elements, particularly in the sole. From that moment forward, Rockport continued to push boundaries and challenge conventional footwear designs.

1990 - Rockport Executive, Tony Post, completes the NYC Marathon wearing DresSports
Reaffirming this ethos of pushing boundaries, Tony Post illustrated to the world, that comfort and fashion go hand in hand, when he completed the NYC Marathon wearing Rockport DresSports.

1994 - Rockport is named the official boat shoe of the Whitbread Round-the-World Yacht Race.
This prestigious event is one of the toughest yacht races in the world. This was a significant milestone for Rockport. It signalled the brand's recognition within the sailing community and its ability to provide footwear that met the rigorous demands of offshore sailing.

2005 - Introduced machine washable styles for men and women
By introducing this innovative and convenient feature, Rockport set itself apart from the rest and opened itself up to consumers from all walks of life, such as business professionals and outdoor enthusiasts.

2023 - Authentic Brands Group acquires Rockport.
